Brian storms back to claim the first individual title of the season!!!

The Tommy Nelson Memorial Individual Competition took place yesterday in The Moat Bar. 16 players entered the competition, and with a few familiar faces missing, it was safe to say this competition was wide open. In round one, the matches were played in a best-of-5 format, and the results were:

The next round stayed with the best-of-5 format, with the results being:

Drew Sloan 0 - 3 RICHARD CAMPBELL
Ruff Erwin 1 - 3 BRIAN HANNA
RYAN FOSTER 3 - 1 Ritchie Irwin
Phil Houston 2 - 3 DEREK DUNLOP

The semi-final stage was then played in a best-of-7 format, with the results being:
Semi-Finals
Richard Campbell 0 - 4 BRIAN HANNA
RYAN FOSTER 4 - 2 Derek Dunlop

The final was between Brian Hanna (Michelin Masters) & Ryan Foster (Connollys B), who was last year’s reigning champion. The match was played in a best-of-9 format, and the result was:
BRIAN HANNA 5 – 4 Ryan Foster
Brian came storming back from 4-2 down, and clinched the title in the deciding frame. Well done to Brian on winning the Tommy Nelson Memorial Trophy.
