Results - Week 4 - Tuesday 28th October 2014

Mighty Moat 4-2 The Coach

The Coach took the lead when Warren Gray beat Daniel Magill 2-1. Martin Hill levelled the score when he defeated Frazer Young by a 2-1 score line after he had lost the first frame. In game three Cliff Allison came from one behind to defeat Dean Robinson by a 2-1 score line and put the Coach back into a 2-1 lead in the match. Alan Rainey levelled the match score for the second time when he beat David Carlisle by a 2-1 score line. In game five David Nicholl gave the home team the lead in the match for the first time when he defeated David Gillespie also by a 2-1 score line. In the last game the Mighty Moat won the match when Colin Taylor defeated Darnell McCrory in straight frames to leave the final match score of 4-2 for the Mighty Moat.

Michelin Masters 5-1 Fairhill Dreamers

David Armstrong got the Masters off to a winning start when he defeated Ricky Allen in straight frames. Chris Penny doubled the score when he beat Gary Allen also in straight frames. In game three the Fairhill pulled one game back when Sean Brannigan had to come from one down to beat Jimmy Knowles by a 2-1 score line. In game four Alan Armstrong restored the two game difference when he beat Linzi McClelland by a 2-1 score line. In game five Rick McMaster increased the lead for the Masters when he defeated Ian Dewar by a 2-1 score line. In the final game Brian Hanna beat Nigel McMaster by a 2-1 score line but had to come from behind after he had lost the first frame to make the final match score 5-1 for the Michelin Masters.

Fairhill Hustlers 5-1 Social Club

George McCullough gave the home team the lead when he beat Marc McMullan in straight frames and Glenn Mairs doubled the score when he beat John Fleck also in straight frames. In game three Ross Hill pulled one game back for the Social Club when he beat Richard Campbell by a 2-1 score line. In game four Robert Graham restored the two game lead when he beat Albert McBride in straight frames to make the match score 3-1 to the Hustlers. Paul Hayes made the score 4-1 to the Hustlers when he defeated Brian Boyd also in straight frames. In the last game Ritchie Irwin made the final match score 5-1 to the Fairhill Hustlers when he beat May Barr also in straight frames.

The Towers Tavern 3-3 The Inbetweeners

The Inbetweeners took the first game when Steven Heron had a come from behind win over Dean Greer for a 2-1 win. Philip Houston doubled the lead when he defeated Drew Sloan in straight frames. In game three the Towers Tavern pulled one back through Shane Moody who defeated Ryan Logan in straight frames. Gareth Rowe restored the two game lead at 3-1 for the Inbetweeners when he beat David O'Neill also by a 2-0 score line. The Towers Tavern pulled another one back through James Millar who defeated Paul Francey also by a 2-0 score line and in the final game K.D. Crabbe made the match score all square at 3-3 when he defeated Gary Ormandy 2-1.

The Meatballs 3-3 Connolly's A

Pat McAnally defeated Gary Clarke 2-1 in the first game. Ryan Foster doubled the score when he defeated Mark Campbell in straight frames to make the match score 2-0 for the Meatballs. In game three Connolly's A got a game back through Keiran Butler who defeated Barry McLarnon in straight frames. In game four Connolly's A levelled the match when John McAllister beat Brett McLaughlin in straight frames for a 2-2 match score. In game five Dee Erwin came from being one down to win 2–1 against Joey McNally to put the Meatballs ahead once more. In the final game Pat McAnally (snr) defeated Marcus Westhall in straight frames to leave the final score at 3-3 and a deserved draw.

Diamond Dazzlers 6-0 Moat Mad Dogs

This was a very one sided match with all games being won by 2-0 score lines . The Diamond winners were Chris Gordon, Malcolm Graffin and Robert Artt who defeated Alfie Rutherford, William Wilson and Allen Agnew and this made the match score 3-0 for the Diamond Dazzlers. The next three winners for the Diamond were Brendan O'Mullan, Adrian Rourke and Ian Boal who beat Sheree Agnew-Tuffs, Richard Bamber and Andrew Tuffs for a final score of 6-0 for the Diamond Dazzlers.

Results - Week 3 - Tuesday 21st October 2014

Mighty Moat 2-4 Meatballs
 
The Meatballs got off to a great start when they won the first two games both in three frames. In game one Barry McLarnon beat Michael Thompson 2-1. In game two Pat McAnally defeated Colin Taylor also 2-1. Ryan Foster made the match score 3-0 to the Meatballs when he defeated Daniel Magill in straight frames. David Nicholl put the home team on the score sheet when he had a win in straight frames over Alan Davidson. In game five David O'Sullivan restored the three game difference when he defeated Dean Robinson also in straight frames. In the final game the home team won another game through Alan Rainey who defeated Brett McLaughlin by a 2-0 score line for a final score of 4-2 for the Meatballs.

Towers Tavern 6-0 Social Club
 
Derek Dunlop won the first frame for the Social Club but lost the next two to David O'Neill for an early lead for the Towers Tavern. James Millar made the score 2-0 for the home team when he beat Eddie Fleck 2-0. The Towers Tavern took the remaining four games all by 2-0 wins their winners being Dean Greer, Drew Sloan, Paul Smyth and K.D. Crabbe who defeated Ross Hill, Brian Boyd, John Fleck and Marc McMullan to leave the final match score 6-0 for the Towers Tavern.

Inbetweeners 4-2 Michelin Masters
 
The away team got off to a good start when David Armstrong had an 8ball clearance in frame one but this was not enough to win the game because Paul Francey won the remaining two frames for a 2-1 win for the Inbetweeners. In game two the Masters levelled the score when Jimmy Knowles beat Brian Hannaway in straight frames. Gary Ormandy restored the lead for the Inbetweeners when he beat Rick McMaster by a 2-1 score line. In game four Lee Wright increased the lead to 3-1 for the home team when he beat Alan Armstrong in straight frames with the help of an 8ball clearance in frame one. The Masters pulled another game back when Chris Penny defeated Gareth Rowe by a 2-0 score line but in the final game Philip Houston defeated Brian Hanna by a 2-1 score line to leave the final match score of 4-2 for the Inbetweeners.

Diamond Dazzlers 4-2 Fairhill Hustlers
 
The home team raced into a 3-0 lead in the first game Ian Boal beat Paul Hayes 2-1 after losing the first frame. Malcolm Graffin made it 2-0 when he beat Justin Kilpatrick 2-1 also after losing the first frame. In game three Chris Gordon defeated Richard Campbell by a 2-1 score line. The Hustlers won the next two games to make the match score 3-2 for the Dazzlers, their first winner being George McCullough who defeated Brendan O'Mullan by a 2-1 score and in the next game Robert Graham had a win in straight frames over Adrian Rourke. In the final game Robert Artt came from behind to defeat Ritchie Irwin 2-1 for a final match score of 4-2 for the Diamond Dazzlers.

Results - Week 2 - Tuesday 14th October 2014

 Fairhill Dreamers 2-4 Fairhill Hustlers
 
In this derby match the Hustlers got the first blood when Glenn Mairs beat Ricky Allen in straight frames. In game two Ian Dewar beat Richard Campbell 2-1 to level the match score at 1-1 even though Richard had an 8ball clearance in the second frame. The Dreamers took the lead in game three when Nigel McMaster came from being a frame down to win 2-1 against Paul Hayes. Game four saw the match all square after Robert Graham defeated Sean Brannigan after being a frame down. In the first frame Sean had an 8ball clearance. In game five Mark McClelland won the first frame against Ritchie Irwin but Ritchie fought back for a 2-1 win to make the match score 3-2 for the Hustlers. In the final game Linzi McClelland also won the first frame but lost the remaining two games for a 2-1 win for Justin Kilpatrick and this left the final match score 4-2 for the Fairhill Hustlers.

Paul Francey got the away team off to a flyer with a 2-0 win over Steven Douglas. In the second game Steven Mitchell doubled the match score to 2-0 when he beat Matthew Peacock in straight frames and in game three it was a similar story when Philip Houston had a 2-0 win over Ryan McGerr to leave the halfway score of 3-0 to the Inbetweeners. In game four the Diamond pulled one back through Ryan McCarroll who defeated Ryan Logan by a 2-1 score line. The last two games both went to the Inbetweeners by 2-0 score lines, their winners being Gary Ormandy and Gareth Rowe who defeated Jason Ogilvy and Steven Anderson to leave the final match score of 5-1 for the Inbetweeners.

In the first game Ricky Moore won the first frame against David O'Nell but David turned it around and won the next two frames for a 2-1 win. In game two Drew Sloan had a win in straight frames against Allan Agnew. In game three James Millar also had a win in straight frames aginst Richard Bamber and in game for K.D. Crabbe also had a win in straight frames against Keith Agnew for a 4-0 lead for Towers Tavern. In game five Aaron Browne defeated William Wilson by a 2-1 score line and in the last game Alastair Law defeated Sheree Agnew Tuffs by a 2-0 score line for a final match score of 6-0 for Towers Tavern.

This game featured the big two in the league; Meatballs who were previously Connolly's B and Michelin Masters. In the very first frame Pat McAnally had an 8ball clearance against Chris Penny who then won frame two but the winner was Pat when he won the last frame. In game two Ryan Foster doubled the lead for the Meatballs when he beat Brian Hanna in straight frames. Michelin won game three through David Armstrong who came from being one down to defeat Alan Davidson 2-1. In game four the Meatballs restored the two game lead when Barry McLarnon defeated Rick McMaster 2-0. Back came the Masters when they won the fifth game through Alan Armstrong who beat David O'Sullivan in straight frames to make the match score 3-2 for the Meatballs. In the final game Jimmy Knowles defeated Dee Irwin by a 2-1 score line for a final match score of 3-3.

Gary Clarke got the home team off to a good start when he beat Cliffy Allison in straight frames. Mark Campbell doubled the match score when he defeated David Gillespie also by a 2-0 score line. In game three Joey McNally beat Alan Balmer by a 2-1 score line after he had lost the first frame. The next two games were both won in straight frames by Keiran Butler and John McAllister who defeated Darren Gilmore and Davy Carlisle to make the match score 5-0 for Connolly's A.. In the final game the Coach avoided the whitewash when Frazer Young defeated Peter Kyle by a 2-1 score line for a final match score of 5-1 for Connolly's A.

The away team took the first game in straight frames through Ian Boal who defeated Derek Dunlop. In the second game Adrian Rourke also won in straight as he defeated Marc McMullan by a 2-0 score. The next three games were all won in straight by the Dazzlers there winners being Chris Gordon, Robert Artt and Malcolm Graffin who defeated Eddie Fleck, John Fleck and Ross Hill by 2-0 score lines to make the match score 5-0 for the Dazzlers. In the final game Brendan O'Mullan rounded it all off with a 2-0 win over Albert McBride for a final score of 6-0 for the Diamond Dazzlers.

Mighty Moat 2-4 Connolly's A

Michael Thompson got the Mighty Moat off to a winning start when he beat Mark Campbell by a 2-0 score line. In game two Connolly's levelled the score with a 2-0 win for Peter Kyle over Daniel Magill, but back came the Moat to take the lead for a second time when David Nicholl defeated Keiran Butler by a 2-1 score line. The away team levelled the match through Gary Clarke who defeated Steven Magill in straight frames. In game five John McAllister had a straight frames victory against Dean Robinson to put Connolly's into a 3-2 lead and this was made 4-2 when Joey McNally came from being one down to win 2-1 against Alan Rainey for a final score of 4-2 for Connolly's A.

The home team got off to a good start when Ryan Foster defeated Ricky Moore by a score line of 2-1. The Masters got off to a winning start when Jimmy Knowles beat Eddie Fleck in straight frames. The second game went the same way as David Armstrong beat Derek Dunlop also in straight frames for a 2-0 match score for the Masters. In game three the Masters increased their lead when Rick McMaster had a 2-0 win over Ross Hill. In game four Albert McBride won the first frame for the Social Club but Alan Armstrong fought back to win 2-1. The last two games went the same way when Brian Hanna and Chris Penny both had 2-0 wins against May Barr and Marc McMullan for a 6-0 win for the Michelin Masters.

Fairhill Hustlers 5-1 Diamond Duffers

The Diamond Duffers got off to a great start by the winning the first game when Jason Ogilvy came from being one down to defeat Ritchie Irwin 2-1. The second game went to the Fairhill through Glenn Mairs when he beat Steven Anderson in straight frames for a 2-0 win and leave the match at 1-1. In game three George McCullough beat Matthew Peacock by a 2-1 score line to leave the match score at 2-1 for the Hustlers. The last three games were all won by Fairhill their winners were Paul Hayes, Richard Campbell and Justin Kilpatrick who had 2-0 wins over Ryan McGerr, Steven Douglas and Ryan McCarroll to leave the final match score of 5-1 for the Fairhill Hustlers.

Diamond Dazzlers 5-1 Coach

The Coach travelled to Portglenone and won the first game by a 2-1 score line through David Carlisle who beat Brendan O'Mullan after being a frame down. In game two Malcolm Graffin beat Darren Gilmore in straight frames to level up the scores. Robert Artt also had a win in straight frames over David Gillespie and Chris Gordon increased the lead for the Dazzlers when he defeated Jimmy Gillespie in straight frames to make the match score 3-1 for the Diamond Dazzlers. In game five Adrian Rourke beat Clifford Ellison by a 2-1 score line with Adrian coming out the winner by a 2-0 score line. In the final game Ian Boal rounded it off for the Dazzlers when he defeated Raymond Lynn also by a 2-0 score line to leave the final score of 5-1 to the Diamond Dazzlers.

Ballee 4-2 Fairhill Dreamers

David O'Neill put Ballee into the lead with a win in straight frames over Kenny Allen. In game two the home team doubled the score to 2-0 when Drew Sloan beat Nigel McMaster by a 2-0 score line. James Millar made it three nil when he also had a win in straight frames over Ricky Allen. In game four the Dreamers pulled one back when Sean Brannigan defeated Allister Law also by a 2-0 score line, and Ian Dewar pulled another one back for the Dreamers when he beat Aaron Browne to make the match score 3-2 for the Ballee. In the last game with everything to play for K.D. Crabbe sealed the win with a win in straight frames over Gary Allen for a final match score of 4-2 for Ballee.

The new season will commence on Tuesday 7th October 2014.


There are no major changes this season to rules.
Start time for games remains the same:


Meet at venue for 7:45pm
Game must start at 8pm*
*Failure to start games on time may result in loss of frames


A total of 13 teams will take part this season, which is a credit to the town & surrounding areas in the current climate.
