Result's - Week 5 - Tuesday 13th November 2012


Michelin Masters 3-3 Connolly's B 

Pat McAnally got the away team off to a flier when he beat Jimmy Knowles in straight frames. Drew Sloan leveled the match when he beat Ryan Foster in straight frames and Drew had an 8 ball clearance in frame one. In game three David Armstrong put the Masters into the lead for the first time when he beat Connor Connolly by a 2-0 scoreline. In game four Dee Erwin levelled the match with a 2-1 win over Rick McMaster after Rick had won the first frame. Game five put the Michelin Masters back into the lead when Alan Armstrong beat Marcus Westhall 2-1 after losing the first frame and Alan had an 8 ball clearance in the second frame. The final game went the way of Connolly's when Brett McLaughlin defeated Brian Hanna by a 2-0 scoreline to leave the final score a well deserved 3-3 draw.

Coach Bar 0-6 Michelin Inbetweeners

Lee Wright came from one down to win 2-1 against Darren O'Neill. Gary Ormandy made it two when he defeated Aaron Erwin in straight frames. In game three Gareth Rowe had a 2-1 win over David Carlisle and in game four Finton Long made the score 4-0 for the Inbetweeners when he beat Darren Gilmore 2-1 after Darren had won the first frame. In the last two games the Inbetweeners had 2-0 wins through Phil Houston and Ryan Logan who beat Derek Steele and Rodney Shirley to leave the final score 6-0 for the Michelin Inbetweeners.

Horse & Jockey 3-3 Fairhill Hustlers 

The Horse & Jockey took the lead through Eddie Maxwell who came from one down to win 2-1 against George McCullough. Paul Hayes leveled the scores when he beat Liam Kearney by a 2-1 scoreline. In game three Justin Kilpatrick put the away team into the lead when he beat Norman Clarke in straight frames. Gary Hillis made the scores all square again when he defeated Robert Graham by a 2-1 scoreline. The Horse & Jockey took the lead in game five when Henry Butler came from being one down to beat Derek Dunlop 2-1. In the last game Ritchie Irwin secured a draw for the Hustlers when he beat Sam McCalmont in straight frames to leave the match score 3-3.

Connolly's A 4-2 Social Sports

Pat McAnally Snr put the home team ahead when he beat Ross Hill in straight frames. Sean Donnelly had to come from being one down to beat Richard Campbell 2-1 and in game three Niall McElroy also had to come from being one down to defeat Adam Gordon 2-1 to make the match score 3-0 for Connolly's A .In game four Richard Turtle beat Kevin Scullion in straight frames and when Dennis Keenan beat Rory McCormick 2-1 after being one down the score now was 3-2 for Connolly's A. In the final game William Mitchell won the the match for the home team when he beat Joni Millar 2-1 to leave the match score 4-2 for Connolly's A.

Latest News

A reminder to all teams that score cards must be returned to the Secretary Campbell Garrett by Wednesday at 11pm. 

Next Pool Meeting will be Wednesday 21st November at 8pm in Michelin Social Club. All outstanding monies to be paid this date. Can you all make an effort to attend this meeting, we will be discussing teams for the annual Interleague Tournament.

Social Sports 2-4 Michelin Masters

Drew Sloan put the away team ahead when he had a 2-0 win over Adam Gordon. Rick McMaster made it two nil for the Masters when he defeated Eddie Fleck in straight frames. In the third game Richard Campbell pulled one back for the Sports when he beat Harry Eagleson by a 2-1 scoreline. In game four Joni Millar levelled the match score at 2-2 when he beat Alan Armstrong in straight frames. Back came the Michelin Masters to take the lead again through Brian Hanna who beat John Fleck 2-0. In the final game Jimmy Knowles sealed the victory for the Masters when he beat Richard Turtle by a 2-1 scoreline to leave the final match score 4-2 for the Michelin Masters.

Coach Bar 2-4 Connolly's A 

The Coach got off to a good start when Aaron Erwin defeated Pat McAnally Snr in straight frames. Connolly's A levelled through Sean Donnelly who beat Paul Gray also in straight frames. William Mitchell put Connolly's in front with a 2-0 win over Derek Steele. In game four Niall McElroy made it 3-1 for Connollys when he beat Darren Gilmore in straight frames. Joey McNally defeated David Carlisle by a 2-1 scoreline to make the match score 4-1 for Connolly's A.In the final game Rodney Shirley picked up another game for the Coach when he beat Connaire McAuley by a 2-1 scoreline to leave the final match score 4-2 for Connolly's A .

No score card was returned for the Michelin Inbetweeners V Spotty Dogs the match score was 4-2 for the Michelin Inbetweeners.

The game between Connolly's B and the Horse & Jockey was postponed.

Result's - Week 3 - Tuesday 30th October 2012


Michelin Masters 5-1 Michelin Inbetweeners 

The Inbetweeners got off to a good start when Gareth Rowe defeated Brian Hanna by a 2-1 scoreline. Gareth had an eight ball clearance in the first frame. The Masters fought back and won the next two games in straight frames there winners being Rick McMaster and Drew Sloan who defeated Finton Long and Chris Penney. In game four Stewart Frew won the first frame but lost out in the next two to Alan Armstrong to give the Masters a 3-1 lead. The Masters kept the pressure on by winning the fifth game when David Armstrong beat Philip Houston by a 2-1 scoreline.  In the final game Jimmy Knowles wrapped it all up with a 2-1 win over Gary Ormandy to leave the final score 5-1 for the Michelin Masters.

Connolly's A 5-1 Fairhill Hustlers 

Connolly's A got off on a winning start when Pat McAnally Snr came from being one down to win 2-1 against George McCullough after this Connolly's took charge and reeled off the next four games without dropping a frame. There winners being Sean Donnelly, Connaire McAuley, Nial McElroy and Kevin Scullion who defeated Robert Graham, Ritchie Irwin, Paul Hayes and Justin Kilpatrick all by 2-0 scorelines. In the final game Derek Dunlop defeated Peter Kyle by a 2-1 scoreline to leave the final match score 5-1 for Connolly's A.

Diamond Bar have now changed there name to the Spotty Dogs.

The Spotty Dogs 5-1 Coach Bar

Brendan O'Mullan put the Spotty Dogs ahead when he beat Paul Gray in straight frames. Damian White doubled the score when he defeated Aaron Erwin by a 2-1 scoreline. In game three Darren Gilmore pulled one back for the Coach with a win in straight frames over Robert Artt to make the score 2-1 for the Spotty Dogs. In game four Malcolm Graffin restored the two game lead when he defeated David Carlisle also in straight frames. Chris Gordon increased the lead to 4-1 when he beat Derek Steele by a 2-1 scoreline. In the final game Ian Boal made the final score 5-1 for the Spotty Dogs when he defeated Rodney Shirley 2-1 after losing the first frame.

Horse & Jockey 3-3 Social Sports 

Eddie Maxwell put the Horse & Jockey ahead when he beat Eddie Fleck in straight frames. In game two Ross Hill levelled the match at 1-1 when he beat Norman Clarke also in straight frames. Henry Butler regained the lead for the Bryan Street lads when he defeated John Fleck by a 2-0 scoreline. In game four the Social Sports levelled for the second time when Joni Millar came from being one frame down to win 2-1 against Dean Hill. Richard Campbell put the Sports into the lead for the first time when he beat Sam McCalmont in straight frames. In the final game Gary Hillis beat Richard Turtle 2-1 after losing the first frame to leave the final match score 3-3.

Coach Bar 6-0 Horse & Jockey

Aaron Erwin got the home team off to a good start when he defeated Gary Hillis in straight frames. The Coach kept on the pressure and reeled off the next three games without reply their winners being David Carlisle, Derek Steele and Paul Gray who were all 2-1 winners over Sam McCalmont, Suzy Dickey and Darryl McCully. In game five Darren Gilmore made it 5-0 when he defeated Eddie Maxwell by a 2-1 scoreline. In the last game Rodney Shirley made it a clean sweep when he defeated Liam Kearney in straight frames for an over all score of 6-0 to the Coach. 

M.O.M. Derek Steele

Fairhill Hustlers 1-5 Michelin Masters 

George McCullough got the Hustlers off to a good start by winning the first frame against Jimmy Knowles but Jimmy fought back to win the next two frames for a 2-1 win for Michelin.The next two games were won by the Masters through Rick McMaster and Drew Sloan who beat Justin Kilpatrick and Paul Hayes to leave the score 3-0 for Michelin. In game four hustlers pulled one back through Robert Graham who lost the first frame but fought back to beat David Armstrong 2-1.In game five Alan Armstrong restored the three game lead when he beat Derek Dunlop in straight frames to leave the score 4-1 for Michelin. In the final game Ritchie Irwin won the first game but lost out in the next two to Brian Hanna to leave the final score 5-1 for the Michelin Masters.

Connolly's B 3-3 Diamond Bar 

Barry McLarnon won the first frame against Damian White but Damian fought back to win the next two for a 2-1 win. In the second game Pat McAnally levelled the match score at 1-1 when he beat Robert Artt in straight frames. In game three the Diamond regained the lead when Chris Gordon defeated Conor Connolly by a 2-1 scoreline. In game four Connolly's levelled the match for a second time when Dee Erwin beat Malcolm Graffin by a 2-1 scoreline.For the first time Connolly's took the lead through Ryan Foster who beat Brendan O' Mullen in straight frames for an overall lead of 3-2. In the final game Ian Boal defeated Alan Davidson also in straight frames for a very creditable draw for the Diamond

Michelin Inbetweeners 4-2 Connolly's A 

Lee Wright put the home team into the lead when he defeated Rory McCormack in straight frames. The Inbetweeners made it 2-0 when Gary Ormandy came from behind to beat Pat McAnally Snr 2-1. In game three Joey McNally pulled one back for Connolly's when he beat Finton Long in straight frames. In game four Gareth Rowe restored the two game lead when he beat William Mitchell by a 2-1 scoreline. Then in game five Connolly's got another game through Niall McElroy who won 2-0 against Chris Penney. In the final game Phil Houston made it 4-2 for Michelin Inbetweeners when he beat Peter Kyle in straight frames.
