Results - Week 7 - Tuesday 18th November 2014

Diamond Dazzlers 2 - 4 Connolly’s A

Connolly’s took the lead when Gary Clarke had a win in straight frames over Adrian Rourke. The Dazzlers drew level when Malcolm Graffin came from one down to win 2-1 against Gary Erwin. Connolly’s regained the lead through Joey McNally when he beat Chris Gordon in straight frames. In game four the Dazzlers drew level for the second time through Robert Artt who had to come from being 1-0 down to beat Mark Campbell 2-1. In game five John McAllister won the first frame against Ian Boal but Ian fought back with an 8ball clearance in frame two only for John to win the third frame for a 2-1 win and a 3-2 lead for Connolly’s A in the match. In the final game Keiran Butler had a 2-0 win over Brendan O’Mullan to leave the final match score of 4-2 for Connolly’s A.

The Meatballs 6 - 0 Diamond Duffers

Pat McAnally lost out to Steven Anderson in the first frame but Pat won the next two frames to secure a 2-1 win. Ryan Foster made it 2-0 for the Meatballs with a win in straight frames over Tam McMaster. The rest of this match was a very one sided affair with the Diamond failing to win another frame. The Meatballs winners were David O’Sullivan, Alan Davidson, Dee Irwin and Marcus Westhall who defeated Matthew Peacock, Ryan McGirr, Ryan McCarroll and Steven Douglas respectively all by 2-0 score lines to leave the final match score of 6-0 for the Meatballs.

Fairhill Hustlers 2 - 4 Towers Tavern

Shane Moody got the away team off to a flier when he defeated Richard Campbell in straight frames. Drew Sloan doubled the score to 2-0 for the Towers Tavern when he defeated Glenn Mairs also in straight frames. The Hustlers pulled one back when Justin Kilpatrick defeated Allister Law also in straight frames. In game four George McCullough won the first frame against Dean Greer with an 8ball clearance but Dean won the next two frames for a 2-1 win. Then the Fairhill fought back through Robert Graham who defeated James Millar by a 2-1 score line and a match score of 3-2 for the Towers Tavern. In the last game K.D. Crabbe had a 2-0 win over Ritchie Irwin for a final score of 4-2 for the Towers Tavern.

Moat Mad Dogs 3 - 3 Social Club

The Moat won the first game through Ricky Moore who defeated Ross Hill in straight frames. In game two William Wilson also had a win in straight frames over Eddie Fleck for a 2-0 lead for the Moat Mad Dogs. In game three the Social Club pulled one back through Marc McMullan who beat Allan Agnew by a 2-1 score line. In game four Albert McBride levelled the match score at 2-2 when he beat Richard Bamber also by a 2-1 score line. The Moat went ahead again when in game five Andy Tufts had a 2-1 win over John Fleck. In the final game the Social Club levelled the match score at 3-3 when Brian Boyd had a 2-1 win over Sheree Agnew-Tufts.

Inbetweeners 3 - 3 Mighty Moat

The Mighty Moat took the lead when Colin Taylor came from behind to win 2-1 against Lee Wright. In game two the Inbetweeners levelled the scores when Gary Ormandy had a win in straight frames against Dean Robinson, Gary also had an 8ball clearance in the first frame.  The home team took the lead when Phil Houston defeated Daniel Magill in straight frames. David Nicholl made the score all square when he defeated Dessie Cooper 2-1 after losing the first frame. In game five Brian Hannaway had to come from being one frame down to win 2-1 against Darren Campbell. In the final game Alan Rainey found himself one down against Gareth Rowe but fought back to win 2-1 with the help of an 8ball clearance to gain a draw for his team.

Coach 1 - 5 Michelin Masters

Cliffy Allison had a good victory over Jimmy Knowles for the Coach after being one frame down to win 2-1 and he also had an 8ball clearance in the deciding frame. Michelin levelled the match with a 2-1 win for Chris Penny over Darren Gilmore. In game three David Armstrong had a win in straight frames over Alan Balmer and David also had an 8ball clearance in the first frame to leave the match score at 2-1 for the Michelin Masters. In game four Rick McMaster had to come from one down to win 2-1 over David Gillespie. In the last two games both went the same way with wins for the Masters, their winners being Alan Armstrong and Brian Hanna who beat Frazer Young and David Carlisle both in straight frames to leave the final match score of 5-1 for the Michelin Masters.
