Result's - Week 16 - Tuesday 19th March 2013


Fairhill Hustlers 4-2 Spotty Dogs 

Paul Hayes got the home team off to a good start when he beat Ian Boal in straight frames. Back came the Spotty Dogs through Robert Artt who leveled the scores when he beat George McCullough by a 2-1 scoreline. The next two games went to the Fairhill with two 2-0 wins  for a 3-1 lead. Their winners being Robert Graham and Derek Dunlop who defeated Damian White and Brendan O'Mullan. In game five the Spotty Dogs got another win when Malcolm Graffin beat Justin Kilpatrick by a 2-0 scoreline. Going into the last game the score was 3-2 for the Fairhill but the Fairhill captain Ritchie Irwin pulled out a 2-0 win over Chris Gordon to leave the final score 4-2 for the Fairhill Hustlers.

Social Sports 0-6 Michelin Inbetweeners 

In game one Gary Ormandy defeated Eddie Fleck in straight frames. Lee Wright doubled the score when he beat Ross Hill also in straight frames. In game three Dennis Keenan won the first frame for the Social Sports but in frame two his opponent Gareth Rowe did an 8-ball clearance and went on to win the third frame for a 2-1 scoreline. In game four Finton Long increased the lead to 4-0 for Michelin when he defeated Richard Campbell by a 2-0 scoreline. The last two games went to Michelin with 2-0 wins there winners being Phil Houston and Ryan Logan who defeated Joni Millar and Brian Boyd to leave the final match score of 6-0 for the Michelin Inbetweeners.

Coach Bar 1-5 Connolly's B 

Barry McLarnon gave the away team the lead when he beat Darren Gilmore in straight frames and this was followed by Alan Davidson who also beat Rodney Shirley in straight frames for a 2-0 lead for Connolly's B. In game three David Carlisle pulled a game back for the Coach by beating Dee Erwin by a 2-0 scoreline for a match score of 2-1 for the away team. In game four K.D. Crabbe won the first frame against Connor Connolly but Connor fought back to win 2-1. The last two games were 2-0 wins for Connolly's B there winners being Marcus Westhall and Brett McLoughlin who beat David Gillespie and Aaron Erwin for a final match score of 5-1 for Connolly's B.

Connolly's A 5-1 Horse & Jockey 

Joey McNally got the home team off to a good start when he beat Laura Handley by a 2-0 score. In game two Eddie Maxwell won the first frame but lost out to Rory McCormick who won the last two frames for a 2-1 win. Kevin Scullion made the score 3-0 for the A team when he had a 2-1 win over Francine Warwick. In game four Raymond Campbell won the first frame but lost out to Sean Donnelly who won the next two to make the match score 4-0 for Connolly's. Martin O'Loughlin had a 2-0 win over Henry Butler. In the last game Norman Clarke saved the whitewash when he beat William Mitchell in straight frames to leave the match score 5-1 for Connolly's A.

Rearranged Match from Week 4 06/11/12

Connolly's B 6-0 Horse & Jockey

This match was a bit one sided with the Horse & Jockey winning one frame in the whole game. The first two winners were Mark Campbell and Brett McLaughlin who had wins in straight frames over Martin McLintock and Danielle Handley. In games three and four Barry McLarnon and Alan Davidson marked up two more wins in straight frames against Raymond Campbell and Eddie Maxwell for a 4-0 lead for the home team. In game five Connor Connolly defeated Henry Butler by a 2-1 scoreline and in the final game Ryan Foster defeated Norman Clarke in straight frames to leave the final score 6-0 for Connolly's B.

Seniors Competition
 
Nine players entered the Seniors and they played two groups in a round robin format. The participants were Stewart Frew, Joni Millar, Harry Eagleson, Henry Butler, Sean Donnelly, Kevin Scullion, Pat McAnally and Richard Turtle. The players who qualified for the semi's were as follows:

The Coach Bar 5-1 Fairhill Hustlers

George McCullough got the away team off to a good start when he had a win in straight frames over Paul Gray but this was as good as it got for the Hustlers. In game two Aaron Erwin levelled the scores with a win also in straight frames over Derek Dunlop.The next two games both went the same way with Fairhill winning the opening frame only to lose the games 2-1 the Coach winners being David Carlisle and David Gillespie who beat Paul Hayes and Robert Graham to leave the score 3-1 in favour of the Coach.In game five Darren Gilmore beat Justin Kilpatrick by a 2-1 scoreline and in the final game K.D. Crabbe had a win in straight frames over Ritchie Irwin to leave the final score 5-1 for the Coach.

Michelin Masters 6-0 Connolly's A 

Drew Sloan put the Masters into the lead when he beat Pat McAnally by a 2-0 scoreline and he was helped on his way by an 8-ball clearance in frame two. David Armstrong doubled the score when he defeated Kevin Scullion in straight frames. In game three Sean Donnelly won the first frame for Connolly's but lost the game 2-1 to Alan Armstrong to make the score 3-0 for Michelin. The next two games were won in straight frames for Michelin through Rick McMaster and Alan Rainey who beat William Mitchell and Rory McCormick to make the match score 4-0 for Michelin Masters. In the final game Jimmy Knowles had to come from one frame down to win 2-1 against Joey McNally for a final match score of 6-0 for the Michelin Masters.

Spotty Dogs 6-0 Social Sports

Ian Boal got the Spotty Dogs off to a good start when he beat Joni Millar in straight frames. Robert Artt doubled the score with a 2-0 win over Eddie Fleck and Damian White made it 3-0 to the Spotty Dogs when he defeated Richard Turtle also in straight frames. Malcolm Graffin increased the lead to 4-0 when he beat Dennis Keenan 2-0 and when Brendan O'Mullan defeated Richard Campbell also in straight frames this left the match score of 5-0 to the Spotty Dogs. In the final game Chris Gordon defeated John Fleck by a 2-0 scoreline to leave the final score of 6-0 to the Spotty Dogs.

Michelin Inbetweeners 4-2 The Coach

K.D.Crabbe got the Coach off to a good start when he beat Lee Wright in straight frames. In game two Gary Ormandy squared the match when he defeated Aaron Erwin also in straight frames. In game three Chris Penney put the Inbetweeners into the lead for the first time when he beat Derek Steele by a 2-0 scoreline. Gareth Rowe increased the lead for Michelin to 3-1 when he came from behind to beat Paul Gray 2-1. The Coach pulled a game back in the fifth game when Darren Gilmore had a win in straight frames over Ryan Logan. In the final game Phil Houston defeated Denise Mitchell by a 2-1 scoreline after losing the first frame to leave the final score 4-2 for the Michelin Inbetweeners.

Derek Dunlop made it 4-1 for the Fairhill with a 2-0 win over Henry Butler and in the final game Justin Kilpatrick finished it off for the Fairhill with a 2-1 win over Norman Clark for a final score of 5-1 for the Fairhill Hustlers.

Pat McAnally got the away team off to a good start when he beat Ross Hill in straight frames. In game two Joey McNally made it 2-0 for Connolly's when he came from behind to defeat Eddie Fleck 2-1. Kevin Scullion made the score 3-0 when he defeated Richard Turtle in straight frames.Connolly's piled on the pressure when they also took the fourth game through Rory McCormack who came from being one down to win 2-1 against John Fleck. The fifth game was won by Joni Millar for the Social Sports with a 2-1 win over Sean Donnelly and in the last game Richard Campbell also won for the Social Sports with a win in straight frames over William Mitchell for a final score of 4-2 for Connolly's A.

Result's - Week 13 - Tuesday 25th February 2013


Michelin Masters 5-1 Social Sports 

The home team raced into a 2-0 lead when Drew Sloan and Brian Hanna both had wins in straight frames over Eddie Fleck and John Fleck. They continued the run with a 2-1 win by Rick McMaster over Ross Hill even after Ross had won the first frame. In game four Alan Rainey making his first appearance this season for the Masters had a 2-0 win over Richard Turtle making it 4-0 for Michelin. In game five David Armstrong made it 5-0 for Michelin when he had a 2-1 win against Richard Campbell and in the last game the Sports avoided the whitewash when Joni Millar defeated Harry Eagleson by a 2-0 scoreline for a final score of 5-1 for Michelin Masters.

Horse & Jockey 0-6 Connolly's B 

Barry McLarnon had a win in straight frames against Martin McLintock to put the B team ahead. In the second game Brett McLaughlin had to come from being one down to win 2-1 against Richard Handley to give Connolly's B a two nil lead. In frames three through to six the Horse & Jockey were playing good pool but they could not win any games and it was the champions who won all the games by 2-0 scorelines with their winners being Dee Irwin, Marcus Westhall, Alan Davidson and Connor Connolly who beat Eddie Maxwell, Norman Clarke, Raymond Campbell and Henry Butler to leave the final score of 6-0 for Connolly's B.

The visitors took the lead through David Carlisle who defeated Rory McCormick by a 2-1 scoreline. Rodney Shirley made it two when he also had a 2-1 win against Sean Donnelly. In game three Connolly's pulled one back through Kevin Scullion who beat Davy Gillespie 2-1 after losing the first frame. In game four Derek Steele restored the two game advantage for the Coach when he beat Joey McNally in straight frames to leave the match score of 3-1 for the Coach. In game five Connolly's won another game when William Mitchell had to come from being one down to defeat Darren Gilmore 2-1. In the last game K.D. Crabbe had a 2-1 win over Martin O'Loughlin to leave the final score 4-2 for the Coach.

The Spotty Dogs 0-6 Michelin Inbetweeners 

This match was a very one sided affair the first three games were all won in straight frames for the Inbetweeners with their winners being Gareth Rowe, Lee Wright and Gary Ormandy who defeated Malcolm Graffin, Robert Artt and Damian White respectively for a 3-0 lead. In game four Ryan Logan beat Chris Gordon also in straight frames. In game five Brendan O'Mullan at least won a frame against Chris Penney  but Chris came back to win 2-1. The final game also went to the Inbetweeners when Philip Houston beat Ian Boal 2-0 for a final score of 6-0 for the Michelin Inbetweeners.

Result's - Week 12 - Tuesday 29th January 2013


Michelin Inbetweeners 2-4 Michelin Masters

The Michelin derby was always going to be a close call. Drew Sloan put the Masters into the lead with a 2-0 win over Lee Wright and Jimmy Knowles doubled the lead to 2-0 when he defeated Gary Ormandy by a 2-1 scoreline. In the third game Rick McMaster came from one frame down to win 2-1 against Finton Long and that gave the Masters a 3-0 lead. The Inbetweeners started a fight back with two wins in a row and both by 2-0 scorelines there winners being Gareth Rowe and Chris Penney who defeated David and Alan Armstrong to leave the match score at 3-2. In the final game Brian Hanna defeated Phil Houston by a 2-0 scoreline to leave the final match score of 4-2 for the Masters.

Social Sports 4-2 Horse & Jockey

The away team took the lead when Eddie Maxwell came from one down to win 2-1 against Eddie Fleck. In the second game John Fleck leveled the match score with a win in straight frames over Gregory Warwick. In the third game Francine Warwick came from one frame down to win 2-1 against Richard Turtle and put the Horse & Jockey into a 2-1 lead. After this the Social Sports took control and they won the next three games by 2-0 scorelines there winners were Ross Hill, Richard Campbell and Brian Boyd who defeated Laura Handley, Henry Butler and Norman Clarketo leave the final score 4-2 for the Social Sports.

Coach Bar 3-3 The Spotty Dogs

The Coach took the lead when Davy Carlisle defeated Robert Artt by a 2-1 scoreline. In the second game Malcolm Graffin beat Rodney Shirley also by a 2-1 scoreline to level the match. In the third game Damian White beat Derek Steele 2-1 to give the Spotty Dogs a 2-1 lead in the match. In the fourth game Brendan O'Mullan increased the lead for the Spotty Dogs with a win in straight frames over Darren Gilmore. In game five K.D. Crabbe had a 2-1 win over Chris Gordonand in the last game David Gillespie had a win in straight frames over Ian Boal to leave the final match score 3-3 draw.

Fairhill Hustlers 4-2 Connolly's A 

Kevin Scullion got Connolly's off to a good start when he won the first game in straight frames against Ritchie Irwin. In game two Justin Kilpatrick leveled the match when he beat Niall McElroy by a 2-1 scoreline. In game three George McCullough gave the Hustlers the lead in the match with a win in straight frames over Rory McCormack. In game four Robert Graham defeated Pat McAnally(snr) by a 2-1 scoreline and in game five Derek Dunlop came from one down to win 2-1 against Sean Donnelly and increase the match score to 4-1 for the Fairhill. In the final game William Mitchell also had to come from one down to win 2-1 against Paul Hayes and this left the final match score of 4-2 to the Fairhill Hustlers.
