Results - Week 1 - Tuesday 18th October 2011

Fairhill Hustlers 2 v 4 Michelin Inbetweeners

Lee Wright got the away team off to a good start when he had a win in straight frames over Paul Hayes. The next two games took the same path with Fairhill winning the first frames through George McCullough and Robert Graham but both games were won by Michelin through Finton Long and Gareth Rowe who both won the last two frames for 2-1 wins and a 3-0 lead for Michelin. In the fourth game Derek Dunlop pulled one back for Fairhill when he beat Gary Ormandy 2-1. In the fifth Fairhill pulled another game back when Justin Kilpatrick had a 2-0 win over Chris Penny to make the score 3-2 for Michelin. In the last game Ritchie Irwin won the first frame but lost out to Phil Houston  who won the last two frames for a 2-1 win and a 4-2 victory in the match.

Michelin Masters 2 v 4 Connollys B

8 Ballers are playing out of Connollys this year and they got off to a good start when Gary Erwin beat David Armstrong 2-0. Drew Sloan levelled the scores when he beat Pat McAnally by a 2-0 scoreline. Barry McLarnon got the lead back again when he beat Alan Armstrong by a 2-1 scoreline. Rick McMaster came from one down to win 2-1 against Brett McLaughlin and level the score again at 2-2. The away team ran out 4-2 winners when Ryan Foster and Gary Clarke both had 2-0 wins against Harry Eagleson and Brian Hanna

Slemish Hotshots 4 V 2 Social Cobwebs

Andy McAlonan got the away team off to a good start when he defeated Gary Rodgers in straight frames. Ryan Logan levelled the match when he beat Ricky McNeill 2-1 after being 1-0 down. The Slemish took the lead through Rodney Fleck who had a 2-1 win over Jimmy Knowles and Chris Adams increased the lead when he beat Liam Erwin in straight frames. David Calderwood made the score 4-1 when he beat Chris McGaughey by a 2-0 scoreline. In the last game Stephen Holmes pulled one back for the Cobwebs when he defeated Damian Keenan  in straight frames to leave the final score 4-2 for the Slemish.

Connollys A 2 V 4 Horse & Jockey

The Horse and Jockey won the first game when Johnny Laing defeated Amy Lynn in straight frames. Mark Davidson increased the lead when he beat Johnnie Walker by a 2-1 score. Connaire McAuley pulled one back for Connollys when he defeated Sam McCalmont by a 2-0 scoreline. Horse and Jockey restored the two game difference when Dean Hill came from being one down to win 2-1 against Martin O'Loughlin. Back came Connollys to win the next game through Alan Smyth who won in straight frames against Gary Hillis. In the last game Henry Butler made the final score 4-2  for Horse and Jockey when he defeated David Cummins by a 2-1 scoreline.

Moat Aces 3 V 3 Diamond Bar Portglenone

The home team won  the first game through Darren Gilmore who beat Ian Boal in straight frames. In the second game Declan Heggarty defeated Martin Hill by a 2-1 score. In the third game Chris Dickson came from behind to win 2-1 against Adrian Mann. Brendan O'Mullan levelled the match at 2-2 when he defeated David Carlisle by a 2-1 scoreline. The Diamond moved into the lead when Chris Gordon had a win in straight frames over KD Crabbe. In the last game the Moat Aces got a great win through George Crothers who was making his come back after illness when he beat Damian White 2-1 to leave the final result a draw. The Michelin Ballymena Towers Pool League would like to wish George all the best and hope he continues to improve.

Social Sports 2 V 4 Coach Bar

The Coach won the first game when Billy Andrews had a 2-0 win over Ross Hill. Richard Campbell levelled the match when he beat Chink O'Neill also by a 2-0 score. Aaron Erwin gave the Coach the lead again when he had a 2-0 win against Adam Gordon. Paul Shaw increased the lead by beating Richard Turtle 2-1. Paul Gray made it 4-1 for the Coach when he beat Rosie Turtle in straight frames. In the last game Brian Boyd pulled one back for Sports when he beat Philip McAllister 2-0 for a final score of 4-2 for the Coach.
