Campbell put the home team into the lead with a win in straight frames over
Chris Penny. Michelin hit back and they took the next three games without
dropping a frame. David Armstrong had a 2-0 win over Kieran Butler, Jimmy
Knowles defeated Pat McAnally(snr) 2-0 and Alan Armstrong had a 2-0 win over
Joey McNally to give the Masters a 3-1 lead in the match. John McAllister then
won a close game with Rick McMaster by a 2-1 score line. In the final game Don
McKeown beat Brian Hanna in straight frames for Connolly’s A and this left the
match score at 3-3.

Diamond Dazzlers 2-4 The Inbetweeners
Gary
Ormandy got the Inbetweeners off to a good start with a 2-1 win over Malcolm
Graffin after Gary had lost the first frame it the game. It was the same again
in the second game as Lee Wright lost the first game against Robert Artt but
Lee hit back to win 2-0 and put the Inbetweeners into a 2-0 lead in the match.
In the third game the Dazzlers finally got a point on the score sheet with
Brendan O’Mullan winning 2-1 against Gareth Rowe and Brendan also had lost the
first frame in the game. In the next two games the Inbetweeners took control of
the match with Phil Houston and Paul Francey beating Chris Gordon and Adrian
Rourke in straight frames for a 4-1 lead to the league leaders. In the final
game Ian “The Bomber” Boal had a 2-0 win over Dessie Cooper to give the
Inbetweeners a 4-2 victory.

Towers Tavern 4-2 Meatballs
Drew
Sloan gave the home team the lead with a win in straight frames over Dee Erwin
and in the second game James Millar lost the first frame but hit back to win
2-1 against Owen Butler for a 2-0 lead in the match for the Towers. In the
third game Ryan Foster had a win in straight frames over Dean Greer for Connolly’s
A. David O’Neill restored the two game lead for the Towers with a win in
straight frames over Pat McAnally. In the fifth game Alan Davidson pulled
another game back for Connolly’s A when he defeated Shane Moody by a 2-0 score line.
In the final game K.D. Crabbe wrapped it up for the Towers with a 2-1 win over
Sean McAnally and a 4-2 win for the Towers Tavern.

Coach Bar 5-1 Mighty Moat
The Coach
got off to a great start by winning the first two games by 2-0 wins their winners
were Clifford Allison and David Carlisle who defeated David Nicholl and Martin
Hill. In the third game Paul Gray lost the first frame in his game with Steven
Magill but he hit back to win 2-1. In the fourth game David Gillespie had a 2-1
win over Dean Robinson and this gave the Coach a 4-0 lead in the match. In the
fifth game Daniel Magill had a 2-1 win over Frazer Young and Daniel had lost
the first frame in the game. Darren Gilmore had a walkover 2-0 win as the
Mighty Moat only had 5 players and this gave the Coach a 5-1 win in the match.

Fairhill Dreamers 3-3 Diamond Duffers
Ian Dewar
got the Dreamers of to a flyer with a 2-0 win over Jason Ogilby, and in the
second game Allan Agnew won the first frame but Matthew Peacock fought back to
win 2-1 and level the match. In frame three Sean Brannigan had a win in
straight frames over Tam McMaster and this restored a one game lead for the
Dreamers. In the fourth game the Duffers levelled the match once again through
Ryan McCarroll who also lost the first frame to Gary Allen but Ryan ran out a
2-1 winner. In the fifth game the Diamond took the lead for the first time in
the match when Steven McGaughey had a 2-1 win over Ashley Harmsworth. In the
final game Linzi McClelland lost the first frame to Steven Anderson but she
fought back to win 2-1 and earn a well-deserved draw with a final match result
of 3-3.

Fairhill Hustlers 4-2 Social Club
Eddie
Fleck gave the Social Club the lead with a win in straight frames over Justin
Kilpatrick. Then the Hustlers hit back with vengeance and they reeled of the
next four games without dropping a frame their winners being George McCullough,
Richard Campbell, Ritchie Irwin and Robert Graham who had 2-0 wins over Marc
McMullan, May Barr, Brian Boyd and Albert McBride respectively. In the final
game the Social Club pulled another game back through Ross Hill who beat Paul
Hayes by a 2-1 score line to leave the match score at 4-2 for the Fairhill
Hustlers.
