Breaking News!!!

The Coach Bar has pulled out of the league.

All teams will be awarded a 6-0 win for the second half of the season. First half of the season results stand.

The league table and individual table will be modified accordingly. Those teams due to play the Coach in the coming weeks will have a free week.

I hope to have all stat's up to date by the weekend.

Results Week 17 - Tuesday 15th March 2011

Horse & Jockey 2-4 Fairhill Hustlers

Steve McIlroy put the home team ahead when he came from being one down to win 2-1 against Ritchie Irwin. Robert Graham made the game all square when he defeated Sam McCalmont in straight frames. Rodney Shirley gave the Horse & Jockey the lead for the second time when he beat Dave Rae by a 2-1 scoreline. After this the Hustlers took control and reeled off the last three games all by 2-0 scorelines there winners being Justin Kilpatrick,Gary Agnew and George McCullough who beat Dean Hill, Eddie Maxwell and Dale Rodgers respectively to leave the final score 4-2 for the Fairhill.

Knockeden Jokers 2-4 Social Cobwebs

Garth Rowe gave the Jokers the lead when he beat Barry Weir 2-1 after losing the first frame. Darren Magee levelled the match with a 2-1 win over Jamie Magill also after losing the first frame. Stephen Holmes put the Cobwebs into the lead when he beat Martin Craig in straight frames. In the fourth game David Gillespie made the score 2-2 when he beat Liam Erwin in straight frames.  Alan Rainey defeated Raymond Lynn in straight frames to put the Cobwebs ahead going into the final game. Jimmy Knowles sealed the win for Cobwebs when he beat Ciaran Nelson by a 2-1 scoreline for a final score of 4-2 for the Cobwebs.

Minnesota 8 Ballers 3-3 Connellys

This was a game of two halves with the 8 Ballers dominating the first three games which were all won without dropping a frame. There winners being Gary Clarke, Barry McLarnon and Pat McAnally who all beat Mark Campbell, Brett McLaughlin and William Mitchell respectively to make the score 3-0 for the 8 Ballers. After this the game all changed with Connellys taking the last three games to finish with a draw. Johnny Walker and Alan Smith had wins in straight frames over Lee Wright and Alan Davidson to make the score 3-2 and in the last game Niall McElroy defeated Ryan Forster by a 2-1 scoreline to leave the match a draw.

Slemish Hotshots 5-1 Coach Bar

Chris McCrory and Rodney Fleck got the Slemish off to a good start when they both had wins in straight frames over Keith Agnew and Stephen Purdon respectively to give the Hotshots a 2-0 lead. In the third game the Coach pulled one back when Johnny McKeown had a win in straight frames over Chris Adams . In the fourth game Damien Keenan restored the two game lead when he beat Anne Agnew by a 2-0 scoreline. Dean Calderwood made it 4-1 when he beat Rodney McMaster by a 2-1 score  and in the last game David Calderwood beat William Murphy 2-0 for a final score of 5-1 for the home team.

Results Week 16 - Tuesday 8th March 2011

Social Cobwebs 4-2 Social Inbetweeners

Mark Gillespie got the away team of to a flyer when he beat Stephen Holmes by a 2-1 scoreline. Jimmy Knowles levelled the scores when he beat Gary Ormandy in straight frames. Inbetweeners took the lead through Chris Penny who beat Alan Rainey also in straight frames. In the fourth game Liam Erwin levelled again for the Cobwebs when he beat Derek Dunlop 2-0. In the fifth game Barry Kernohan came from being 1-0 down to win 2-1 against Phil Houston and in the last game Gary Richardson also came from being 1-0 down to win 2-1 against Robert Hargan and made the final score 4-2 for the Cobwebs.

Connollys 1-5 Knockeden Jokers

Johnny Walker set Connollys on the winning way with a 2-0 win over Jamie Magill. Michael Thompson levelled the scores when he beat Mark Campbell in straight frames with the help of an eight ball clearance in the second frame. Gareth Rowe put the Jokers into the lead when he beat Chris McGaughey in straight frames also, Martin Craig increased the lead when he defeated Joey McNally 2-1 after losing the first frame. Raymond Lynn made the score 4-1 for the Jokers with a 2-0 win over William Mitchell and David Gillespie made it 5-1 when he beat Alan Smyth also in straight frames for a great win for the Jokers.

Coach Bar 0-6 Minnesota 8 Ballers

The first three games were rattled off with the 8 Ballers winning them all by 2-0 scores. There winners being Dessie Cooper, Lee Wright and Ryan Foster who defeated Keith Agnew, Ricky Tweed and Ann Agnew respectively. In the fourth game Jonny McKeown won the first frame for the Coach but lost out to Barry McLarnon who won the last two frames for a 2-1 win. In the fifth and sixth games the theme was the same when Alan Davidson and Pat McAnally both had wins in straight frames to leave the final score 6-0 for the 8 Ballers. The Coach’s last two players were Rodney McMaster and William Murphy.

Michelin Master 6-0 Social Sports

David Armstrong won the first game by a 2-0 scoreline when he defeated Dennis Keenan. The second game was a closer affair with Drew Sloan coming out on top against Ross Hill by a 2-1 scoreline. Alan Armstrong made it three with a straight frames victory over Adam Gordon. Brian Hanna and Donald Alexander stretched the score to 5-0 for Michelin when they had 2-0 wins over Richard Turtle and Rosie Turtle respectively and in the final game Harry Eagleson wrapped it up for Michelin when he defeated Richard Campbell by a 2-1 scoreline to leave it 6-0 for Michelin

Horse & Jockey 5-1 Social Sports

Dean Hill put the Horse & Jockey ahead when he won 2-1 against Ross Hill after losing the first frame. Eddie Maxwell made it two when he beat Adam Gordon in straight frames. In the third game Henry Butler defeated Dennis Keenan also in straight frames. Ricky Campbell increased the lead when he defeated Richard Campbell 2-1. In the fifth game Gary Hillis won the first for the Bryan Street club only to fall 2-1 against David Martin to make the score 4-1 for the Horse & Jockey. In the last game Sam McCalmont made the final score 5-1 when he came from being one down to win 2-1 against Rosie Turtle.

Results Week 15 - Tuesday 1st March 2011

Social Inbetweeners 4-2 Connellys 

Chris McGaughey got Connellys off on a winning run when he beat Mark Gillespie by a 2-1 scoreline. Gary Ormandy levelled the scores with a 2-0 win over Kevin Scullion but back came Connellys with a 2-0 win by Alan Smyth over Finton Longto make the score 2-1 to Connellys. After this the Inbetweeners took complete control and won the match with three wins in straight frames to leave the final score 4-2 for the Inbetweeners. There last three winners were Chris Penny, Derek Dunlop and Phil Houston who defeated William Mitchell,Joey McNally and Jonny Walker all by 2-0 scorelines.

Social Sports1-5 Social Cobwebs

Neil Marrs got the Cobwebs off to a good start in this derby match when he beat May Barr by a 2 1 score line. Gary Richardson made it 2 0 when he beat Brian Boyd by a 2 1 score line. The next two games were both won in straight frames for the Cobwebs who's winner were Liam Erwin and Stephen Holmes against Ross Hill and Adam Gordon. In the 5th game Richard Turtle pulled one back for the sports when he defeated Barry Kernohan in straight frames to make the match score 4 1 for the Cobwebs. In the last game Richard Campbell won the first frame over Jimmy Knowles but failed to hold out as Jimmy won the last two frames for a 2-1 win and a match score of 5-1 for the Cobwebs.

Slemish Hotshots 1-5 Minnesota 8 Ballers 

The champions had a relatively easy game against the men from Broughshane and started off with four consecutive games without dropping a frame. There winners being Pat McAnally Lee Wright Stewart Frew and Dessie Cooper who defeated Chrissy McCrory Rodney Fleck Chris Adams and Gregory Shaw all by 2 -0 score lines. In the fifth Connor Graham saved a white washed by beatting Ryan Foster by a 2-1 score line. In the last game Alan Davidson ended the game for 8 Ballers when he beat Dean Calderwood by a 2-1 score line for a final score of 5-1 for thr 8 Ballers.

Horse&Jockey 0-6 Michelin Masters

Michelin Masters hard on the backs of the 8 Ballers raced into a 4-0 lead without dropping a frame to keep the pressure on at the top of the table. The Michelin winners were David Armstrong,Drew Sloan,Brian Hanna and Don Alexander who all had 2-0 wins over Eddie Maxwell,Gary Hillis,Henry Butler and Sam McCalmont. In the fifth game Harry Eagleson carried on with a 2-1 win over Dean Hill and in the last game Rodney Shirley won the first frame against Alan Armstrong but Alan fought back to win the last two frames for a 2-1 win and a 6-0 match win for Michelin Masters.

Jimmy McKeown got the away team off to a good start when he beat Jamie Magill 2-1.Garth Rowe levelled the scores when he beat Ann Agnew in straight frames . In the third game Jonny Rowe put the Jokers into the lead when he beat Keith Agnew 2-1 after losing the first frame. Back came the Coach to level the match again through Rodney McMaster who beat Raymond Lynn by a 2-0 scoreline to leave the scores drawn at 2-2.Martin Craig put the Jokers back into the lead for the second time when he defeated William Murphy in straight frames and Michael Thompson sealed the win for the Jokers when he won 2-0 over Steven Murphy.

Social Inbetweeners 4-2 Knockeden Jokers


The away team raced into a 2-0 lead by winning the first two games. The first winner was Garth Rowe who beat Robert Hargan in straight frames. In the second game Jamie Magill doubled the score when he defeated Finton Long by a 2-1 score. This was as good as it got for the Jokers as the Inbetweeners won the last four games without dropping a frame. The Inbetweeners winners were Gary Ormandy,Chris Penny,Derek Dunlop and Phil Houston who all defeated Michael Thompson,David Gillespie,Martin Craig and Raymond Lynn respectively all by 2-0 scorelines to make the final score 4-2 for the Inbetweeners.

Re-arranged Match from Week 13

Slemish Hotshots 4-2 Knockeden Jokers


Chris McCrory came from being one frame down to win 2-1 against Garth Rowe but Jamie Magill levelled the match when he beat Gary Rodgers in straight frames. Chris Adams restored the lead for the Hotshots when he also came from behind to beat Michael Thompson 2-1. Once again the Jokers levelled through David Gillespie when he beat Rodney Fleck 2-1 after losing the first frame. With the scores tied at 2-2 the home team upped their game and won the last two games both by 2-0 scorelines there winners being Damien Keenan and Connor Graham who beat Martin Craig and Raymond Lynn for a final score of 4-2 for the Slemish Hotshots.
